Knowledge Production and Research in Revolutionary Times

On 23 May 2019, Dr. Sarah Wessel will give a lecture entitled: "You and the Spy: Knowledge Production and Research in Revolutionary Times". Her lecture explores ethical and political aspects of academic research during the mass uprising in Egypt 2010/11. The lecture is organized by the SFB 1199 “Processes of Spatialization under the Global Condition” and the Institute of Anthropology. It is open to all. Infrastructure - Lecture by Mariusz Lukasiewicz on 6 Mai

Next round of the lecture series on infrastructure, on Mai 6th: In his lecture, Mariusz Lukasiewicz from Leipzig University will talk about "The Financial Infrastructure of Southers Africa's Mining Frontier, 1880-1910". Everyone is welcome to join the lecture that takes place from 5 to 7 pm in lecture hall 4.

Guest lecture on 29 April cancelled

Due to visa issues, the guest lecture of Damilola Adebayo on 29 April (part of the lecture series on Infrastructure) had to be cancelled. We are currently rescheduling his visit and hope to welcome him on wednesday, 5 June at seminar room of SFB 1199. More information will follow soon. We look forward to welcoming you to our next guest lecture, given by Mariusz Lukasiewicz on 6 May, 5-7 pm at Hörsaal 4.
